How to Browse Folders Easier and Faster

You can browse your folders with Open or Save File dialogs easier and faster using your IntelliMouse® Explorer mouse. Click Back button of the mouse to step one folder back and Forward button to step one folder forward.

NOTE: Only Windows 2000 and Windows XP have a native support of IntelliMouse® Explorer compatible mice. Note also that browsing feature is not available in Miscrosoft® Office family Open and Save File dialogs.

If you do not have an IntelliMouse® Explorer compatible mouse, you can emulate Back and Forward buttons:

  1. Open a configuration dialog.
  2. Go to General tab in the dialog.
  3. Check Emulate IntelliMouse® Explorer keys box to turn this feature on.

After turning the emulation on, use ALT+LEFT MOUSE BUTTON CLICK as Back button and ALT+RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON CLICK as Forward button.

You can also use ALT+LEFT and ALT+RIGHT as keyboard shortcuts to browse back and forward accordingly. Pressing ALT+HOME will back you to the folder from which you have started to browse.
